Innovative overmolding technology
In addition to innovative injection technologies to achieve maximum functional integration and miniaturization, the overmolding of functional parts made of metal, ceramics and other plastics remains a core competence of WÜST. With automatic feeding of parts via vibratory plates or robot-supported carrier loading and feeding into the injection molding machine, we manufacture hybrid parts in large batch sizes in an efficient and cost-effective manner.
Small batches are manufactured with manual feed. Single and multiple overmolded sandwich parts are part of our wide-ranging expertise. Our standard processes also include the overmolding of stamped conductor strips (lead frames) in reel-to-reel technology.
We use a clean room cabin that can be flexibly installed to produce small and extremely small parts in all batch sizes with reproducible micro-precision.
Customer-specific manual or automated feeding devices are used for larger parts. This enables us to overmold contact sections, connection boards, function pins, axes, hubs, shafts and much more using the 2-K process.
